"Cambridge Work Experience
Program"
Offered in partnership with Tamwood International College in Vancouver. This work and study program is designed to allow students to develop the English skills they need for their career through a combination of English classes and work experience in Canadian company. While some paid positions are available in certain fields, there are more opportunities for career related training in unpaid positions. Students in this program qualify for the Cambridge University International Examinations "CIE" Certificate of Work Experience.
Duration
Min 8 weeks Max 56 weeks (half of program is English classes and half is a work practicum)
Participant Eligibility
- Open to students of English from any country.
- Minimum age 20.
- Students must have upper intermediate level of English and work experience and/or education in their preferred field of work for their placement.
Visa Required
Study Permit and Work Permit (work permit issued on proof of acceptance in program and allows for work only at placement arranged by Go International)
Work Opportunities
Unpaid positions are in professional fields such as finance, design, architecture, engineering, marketing, education, event management, accounting and legal advocacy. Paid positions are available in fields such as: tourism, office administration and IT
